What we collect
We collect the account details you provide, such as your name and email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive the profile details you permit Google to share. Authentication also creates session and security records, which can include your IP address and device information.
When you practice, we process your recordings, chosen topic, language, session settings, transcript, speaking metrics, and AI feedback. We store completed recordings privately with their reports. We also receive messages you send to support and, if you make a purchase, the transaction details needed to manage access and payment history.
How we use it
We use account and practice data to provide speaking practice, turn your audio into a transcript, generate coaching feedback, save your progress, secure the service, and respond to support requests. We use limited product analytics and error reports to understand and improve the service. We process payment records when needed to provide a paid plan and meet applicable legal obligations.
Services that process data
OpenAI processes submitted audio and transcript text to create your report. Cloudflare R2 stores completed recordings; Neon stores account, transcript, and report data; Vercel hosts the app and API. Google may handle sign-in, Polar may handle checkout, and PostHog and Sentry may process usage and error data. These providers may process data outside your country. Their own privacy notices describe their practices.
We do not make your recordings public or sell them. We share data with providers only as needed to run these functions or when law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
Authentication uses cookies or similar storage to keep you signed in. Product analytics may use identifiers to understand visits and feature use. Browser settings can limit cookies, though blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in.
Retention and your choices
Account and practice data remains available while your account is active unless you ask us to remove it. Some records may need to be kept longer for security, accounting, dispute resolution, or legal reasons. To ask for access, correction, a copy, or deletion of your data, email support@spintospeak.app. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Other rights may apply under the laws where you live, including the GDPR or KVKK.
Security and changes
We use HTTPS for data in transit and keep recordings in private storage. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the service changes and will post the revised date here.
